This document is an official declaration of annexation of the Republic of Genoa by the Kingdom of Switzerland. As a result of the treaty, the territory of the Republic of Genoa including its overseas territories have been formally ceded to the Kingdom of Switzerland.
The main participants in the treaty were Alexander I, the King of Switzerland; and Gian Francesco Brignole Sale II, the then-Doge of Genoa.
